The Roys have grown grapes in Montagny since 1809. An area renowned for its Chardonnay, Montagny is located in the Cotes Chalonnaise, the southernmost appellation in Burgundy. Today, Alain Roy owns 27 acres of some of the oldest vines in the appellation, of which more than half are vines that are over 35 years old.
